Something Else
An 11:00 Sunday morning class in Festival Hall taught by Scott Engle
This
class is not oriented to any specific age group, gender, or
life stage.
Rather, this
is a large lecture-oriented class that is open to all adults at St.
Andrew. We even have a few teenagers each week.
The class
focuses on series of interest to many Christians.
The class is
suitable for those who want to attend the class regularly, those who
can attend occasionally, and those who’ve never attended Sunday
School before.
The Current series (through Sept 5)
An Introduction to the books of the Apocrypha
The
books of the Apocrypha, which are sometimes bound into the
middle of the Bible, are Jewish writings from the time
between the two testaments. They are eye-opening windows
into Jesus’ world and tell us much about emerging Jewish
beliefs and practices that shaped the New Testament.
Join us as we take a look at these important and
long-cherished writings.
This series will continue through July and August.
We have an
e-mail group for this class (it used to be called Something More)!
We've started a Yahoo e-mail
group for Something Else. Those who join the group will be
automatically e-mailed Scott's weekly background studies.
You'll also get all the class announcements. It really is a
great way for us all to communicate easily. Even if you are
only an occasional attendee at Something Else, we urge you to join
this list. You can always remove yourself if you wish.
